DUPONT CHAIRMAN AMBER MONTPARNASSE FOUNTAIN PEN LIMITED EDITION 18K. S T Dupont, Paris -- late 1980s. Parker-style cartridge or converter filled. A black Dupont converter is installed.
The section/nib is released by a latch on the end of the barrel. Lift the little latch, and turn it counter clockwise, and that allows you to remove the section to install a cartridge or access the converter. Amber lacquer with a honeycomb pattern. It has gold plated trim. When the section is unscrewed, just above the threads it is labeled B for broad. This is a nice wide nib. It's smooth and looks good. The trim is great and the lacquer finish is perfect. There's a bit of color difference at the ends of the pen but it's definitely beneath the coating.
The series consisted of Chairman Amber and Chairman Grenat pens. The base models were of the Montparnasse collection pens. Chairman Amber uses classical barleycorn guilloche (machinework) design covered with translucent Amber Chinese lacquer coating. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Pens & Writing Instruments\Pens\Fountain Pens\S.
