Dupont and offers a new mode of expression to Philippe Tournaire. The Washington - Captiole fountain pen features an Olympio XL 18 KT solid gold nib with rhodium decoration.

The pen is set on the magnetic base. Fashioned from Argentium sterling silver, the most tarnish resistant silver available today, each pen & base take shape in the hands of the artist. It is chased, engraved, polished by hands. The column engraving is inspired by the friezes that decorated the buildings in Paris at the end of the French 17th century.

Dupont brand is engraved on the top of the pen under the dome and on the base. The numbering X/25 is engraved on the pen following the S. The inside stairs are engraved with S. Dupont by Tournaire in silver with a rhodium finish. The Capitole dome is in white 18 KT solid gold (5.1 grams on average). The obelisk inside the Capitole dome is in silver with a rhodium finish. The pyramid on the top is in solid yellow gold. Tournaire goldsmith and solid gold hallmarks are on the dome. Sterling silver hallmarks feature on the cap of the pen.
